There are Four Squares, marked A, B, C and D. Before the game starts there is one kid in each square and other kids are waiting in line for their opportunity to play. The kid in square A is takes up the role of server and responsible for controlling the game.

Setting Up of 4 Squares Game:

There is a big Square of 10 feet X 10 feet dimensions, which is further divided into 4 squares of 5 feet X 5 feet and the smaller squares are marked A, B, C and D. In the square A again there is one 1.5 feet X 1.5 feet box located in the far outside end corner, from where the service of the game starts.

Details of Playing:

The game starts, when the kid in square A takes position in the serving box and once drops the ball in his square and then hits it in another square. The serving kid while dropping the ball and hitting it keeps his feet joined together at in the server box, till the service has been completed.

The ball needs to bounce once in any of the squares.

Every kid is expected to hit the ball with hand in the opposite kid’s square, after the ball has once bounced in his square.

In case the ball falls on the marked line or goes out of bound before it’s bouncing. The kid; who had hit the ball, is required to return back to the waiting line for a next try on his next turn.

In case the bouncing of ball is more than once, before hitting in another square, the kid who missed the ball returns back to the waiting line for his next turn.

In case the ball gets returned before it can bounce, the kid who returned the ball previously is required to come back to the waiting line.

By a kid moving to the waiting line one square gets vacated

Anytime a kid moves out of the game into the waiting line, a square is left open. The person in front of the line advances to square D and the remaining kids within the square advance to close the gaps between A. Thus during the next game a new kid gets the chance to serve.
